More Than a Thrift Store and received the second installment of the 2022 $44,000 grant from the Land & Community Heritage Investment Program (LCHIP). The heavy lifting is over!

The Board knows everyone does not have the same ability to financially support our organization and the Stone House Project. If you are unable to give at the “Friend” level, but wish to be a member, donate as you are able; we value
your membership! The membership form is attached at the bottom of this page.

Facts of Interest
1. It is important that we have current email addresses. If family members have separate emails, send us all of them. In 2024 CHS sponsored several programs, and over twenty Bits of History (sharing Chesterfield’s past), and CHS updates/reminders were emailed to members using Constant Contact. Having each family member’s email allows us to
keep you well informed. Sending information through the P. O. is costly.

2. The CHS Pot Luck Dinner/Annual Meeting was held at 12:30 at the Town Hall on Sunday October 20, 2024 (40 people in attendance). A filmed interview with Audrey Ericson and Skip White (recalling life in Chesterfield) was shown.

3. Audrey Ericson’s book on Our Historic Town Hall ($10) continues to be available for purchase at CHS. The 2025 CHS calendar has been on sale since October, and is selling well…it contains a historic cemetery scavenger hunt!

4. Other CHS facts:

 a. CHS is open to the public Thursdays 9:30-12:00 and by appointment. Contact CHS via the website to make an appointment. Volunteers are preserving and cataloging ephemera, and renovation/maintenance continues at the SHTM.

b. We are looking for suggestions for our 2024 program topics. Please be in touch if you have ideas for the coming year.
